Support

Let’s get you unstuck.

Start with the issue below. Open Help in the editor to learn what a control changes and why, or read the practical examples in Extended View.

Square Color control with Volume, Balance, Shadows, Highlights and Macro

New to Videolooks?

Add an image or video, choose a look, and use Before / After to compare. Adjust Intensity before making larger grading changes.

An image or video will not open.

Try a PNG or JPEG image first. For video, support depends on the codecs your browser can decode, not just the filename extension. Try an MP4 encoded with H.264 if your original clip will not load.

Wait for the current import to finish before adding another batch. If the source is on an external drive or cloud folder, save a local copy and try it again.

A look is not changing the preview.

Choose a LUT and raise Intensity above zero. In the full editor, check that Looks is enabled. Click the selected look again to clear it. Use the Before / After comparison to inspect the result.

Hover Preview temporarily shows a look while you hover over its thumbnail. Move outside the gallery to see your selected look again. Hover Preview is unavailable in the full editor’s single-column gallery view.

Playback feels slow.

Pause the clip while you refine a grade. Close other graphics-heavy browser tabs and try a shorter or lower-resolution copy to see whether the source is the bottleneck. Keep the original file for your final work.

If the page reports a graphics-context error, save what you can and reload it. Browser memory, video decoding and graphics hardware affect how much work can run at once.

An export is unavailable or fails.

Keep the source media available and the page open until export finishes. MP4 video export needs an encoder supported by your browser. PNG and JPEG export can save a graded still.

Check Color Space before exporting a LUT, then match the input and output noted in the exported .cube when applying it elsewhere. Test it on the same source in your destination editor. A different input color space can produce a different result.

Undo an edit or reset a control.

Use Undo and Redo for recent changes. Small reset dots restore individual points immediately. The reset at a card’s top right clears its selected view; Reset Grade clears the complete manual grade. Hold the card’s power button to compare that view with its effect bypassed.

Switching media in the full editor restores that item’s grade. The landing demo shares one look and grade across its media so you can compare the same treatment on different frames.

Make an issue easy to reproduce.

Include what you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead, your browser and operating system, and the media format. A screenshot of the controls and any error message is useful. Share only media you have permission to share; a small non-sensitive sample is usually enough.
